Evening on the Farm coming to Lake County

Elected officials, school representatives invited to event

CROWN POINT, Ind. — Lake County Farm Bureau has invited elected officials, school representatives and their families to attend the annual Evening on the Farm event July 24 at Kleine Dairy Farm.

Designed to build relationships between local agriculture and policymakers, Evening on the Farm provides a unique opportunity for elected leaders to step away from the meeting room and experience firsthand how food is grown, harvested, processed and transported throughout northwest Indiana.

While Evening on the Farm is not open to the public, it serves an important role in helping northwest Indiana leaders experience modern farming operations firsthand, complete with farm tours, tractor rides and educational demonstrations.
