BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A man who was driving a tractor when a 2-year-old boy fell off and died was charged in his death, the Oakland County sheriff said June 4.
Anthony Davis, 33, had a blood-alcohol level May 29 that exceeded the 0.08 limit for drivers, the sheriff’s office said.
He was charged with causing death while operating an off-road vehicle while drunk. Davis also was charged with a misdemeanor. He was released after appearing in court.
Davis was giving a pair of 2-year-old cousins a ride on a tractor when Roman Wager fell and died in Brandon Township.
“Time and time again we stress the need to never mix piloting a vehicle of any kind with drinking alcohol,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
