World Dairy Expo seeking media interns for 2025 event

The World Dairy Expo is now seeking college students to work as media interns during the Sept. 28-Oct. 3 event.

MADISON, Wis.— As the 58th World Dairy Expo approaches, the event is searching for college students passionate about the dairy industry to be part of the 2025 media team.

Four students will be hired to experience the storied event as media interns.

Under the direction of the expo’s communications manager and digital marketing specialist, interns assist with media initiatives at WDE and the management of the Media Room, the expo’s on-site resource for reporters, writers and photographers.

This weeklong internship in Madison provides students with an active role in writing press releases, creating social media content through multiple platforms and contributing to the expo’s on-site newspaper while engaging with media professionals and dairy industry representatives from around the globe.

“The media intern team plays an integral role in successfully executing this must-attend event for the global dairy industry,” said Lisa Behnke, WDE communications manager.

“Expo is delighted to once again offer this invaluable opportunity to students from across the country who are passionate about the dairy industry and looking for a great hands-on experience.”

Qualified applicants are actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a dairy, agriculture, or communications-related field with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Students should visit www.worlddairyexpo.com and select “Careers & Internships” under the “About Expo” tab for the complete job description and all pertinent application details.

Questions about this position should be directed to Behnke at lbehnke@wdexpo.com.

Serving as the meeting place of the global dairy industry, WDE is the forum for the global dairy community to learn, share, create commerce and showcase competition. The annual event will return Sept. 30 to Oct. 3.

Dairy producers can experience the world’s largest dairy-focused trade show, a world-class dairy cattle show, attend seminars, meetings and presentations highlighting the latest and greatest in the industry and connect with other producers.

Visit worlddairyexpo.com, download the mobile app or follow WDE on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Spotify, or YouTube for more information.
