WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The National AgrAbility Project published its 35-year summary report, “Adapting. Not Quitting.”
The report highlights how AgrAbility has helped farmers affected by disability continue working safely and productively since 1991.
It includes personal stories, program history, research findings and examples of assistive technology and collaboration.
By the numbers:
• 15,000+ direct service clients since 1991
• 10,793,922 hits on agrability.org
• 144,100 total YouTube channel views since 2009
• 13,900 hours of watch time across more than 400 videos
• 178 archived national AgrAbility webinars
• 8,645 total live participants
• 820,721 participants reached through trainings and outreach in 2023 and 2024
• 2,030+ assistive technology solutions in the toolbox
AgrAbility’s online database of tools and modifications supporting work in agriculture and outdoor enterprises is available at agrability.org/toolbox.
Laurie Hayn, an Indiana farmer who continues to operate machinery following a 2018 combine entanglement, is one of many stories featured in the report.
“I literally tell everybody: call vocational rehab and farmers’ AgrAbility,” she said. “They’re amazing at helping you get back going again.”
