Farmers take away valuable insight from Becknology Days

ATLANTA, Ind. — More than 26,000 farmers and visitors attended Becknology Days this year — the highest turnout in the event’s history.

Over the course of 10 days in seven different states, farmers toured Practical Farm Research plots, explored new technologies and spoke with Beck’s agronomy and research teams.

Topics included maximizing hybrid performance, managing corn-after-corn acres, evaluating fungicide programs, refining nitrogen strategies and pursuing greater soybean yield potential.

“At the heart of Becknology Days is the farmer,” said Scott Beck, the company’s president. “Seeing a record number of farmers engage with the research and prepare for what’s next tells us these conversations matter. We are grateful for every farmer who chose to spend a day with us.”

Students from Indiana Agriculture & Technology School visited Becknology Days in Atlanta in central Indiana to see a modern agribusiness firsthand.

“Becknology Days brings together research, innovation and real-world agricultural practices and our students were able to see firsthand how the concepts they learn about in school are being applied in the field,” said IATS in a social media post.

“For our students, experiences like this are so valuable because agriculture is more than what happens inside a classroom or even on a farm. It is science, technology, business, research, engineering, data and innovation all working together.

“We are so thankful to Beck’s Hybrids for providing such an incredible learning opportunity and to our students and staff for making the most of the day. Watching our students ask questions, engage with industry professionals and connect classroom learning to real-world careers is exactly what makes opportunities like this so special.”
