We’ve been spraying fungicide, insecticide and foliar nutrition on our soybeans. We have about 700 acres to do on July 23. This is our third day spraying soybeans, so we’ll get done today.
I’ve been doing a lot of trucking, spraying, machinery repairs, and we’ve been doing some dirt work projects with the bulldozer and the high hoe.
We combined some wheat. Wheat was fantastic this summer. It was probably the best wheat I’ve ever harvested.
We’ve had a lot of sports and everything going on with the kids.
We’ve been counting tenths of inches of rain in our neck of the woods all of June and into July. We were fortunate to get about 1.5 inches a week ago and that made a big difference. We could still use some more, but that’s kind of the story of the game for July in Illinois.
