Waterman Lions prepare for 2026 Summerfest

WATERMAN, Ill. — Plans are underway for the 26th annual Waterman Lions Summerfest and Antique Tractor and Truck Show, set for July 18 at Waterman Lions Park.

This year’s event carries added significance as the community joins the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The Waterman Lions Club says the show will continue its longstanding reputation as the area’s premier family-oriented summer event.

Visitors can expect a full day of fun, food, music and entertainment for all ages. Returning participants include the Antique Truck Historical Society and the Weak End Antique Pullers.

Festivities begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast served by Shabbona Community Church and continue through the evening, concluding at 11:30 p.m. with a fireworks show, live bands and the beer garden by Pub West.

Admission is free, and most daytime activities are free, as well.

Featured attractions include: antique tractor pull, Civil War camp, mechanical bull ride, live music, Farmer Jeffro, bounce house, kiddie train rides, petting zoo, “poo bingo,” drive-a-tractor experience, craft show, flea market, axe throwing, Lions food concession, kids magic show, Parade of Power with trophy awards, kids pedal pull, BBQ by Fay’s Finest Foods, Little O’s frozen custard and the Lions draw-down raffle.
