Drawing raises funds for I&I

The David Bradley Collectors Association had a large array of two-wheel garden tractors on display at the 2025 Historic Farm Days. The featured brands during last year’s event were Oliver, Cockshutt and White.

PENFIELD, Ill. — A 1971 Allis-Chalmers 190 XT Series III tractor is the grand prize at Historic Farm Days.

Proceeds from the drawing go to the I&I Antique Tractor & Gas Engine Club.

The tractor came from the De Land area in east-central Illinois and has around 3,900 original hours.

“It’s a very good original tractor. The man that had owned it had all new tires put on, and then we decided to go ahead and repaint it,” said Chuck Stelter, I&I president.

Dylan Knight, who painted the 1955 Oliver for the 2025 drawing, is painting this year’s top prize.

“We sell 400 tickets at $100 per ticket. The drawing will be held Sunday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at the show. The second prize is $300, third prize is $200 and the fourth prize is $100,” Stelter said.

Historic Farm Days, hosted by the I & I Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club, will be held Thursday through Sunday, July 9-12, in Penfield, where visitors can see upclose restored working farming equipment from yesteryear.
