Raben elected to Poultry, Egg Export Council

Matt Raben

CARMI, Ill. — Matt Raben, a White County farmer and Illinois Corn Marketing Board director, was elected to serve on the executive committee of the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council during the organization’s 37th annual meeting.

“I’m honored to join USAPEEC’s executive committee and excited to bring an Illinois farmer’s perspective to the table,” Raben said. “Poultry is one of the largest end-use markets for corn, so what happens in global poultry and egg export markets matters directly to the farmers I work alongside every day. I’m committed to helping shape the conversations that keep those markets strong and growing for Illinois producers.”

His election to the USAPEEC executive committee comes as the ICMB marks 30 years of membership in the organization, a milestone that reflects the long-standing connection between Illinois corn production and the global poultry and egg industry.

USAPEEC’s annual meeting is one of the most significant gatherings in the poultry and egg export world, bringing together producers, processors, trading companies, commodity groups and international importers for a week of market updates, committee discussions and strategic collaboration. This year’s event drew industry leaders and international representatives from across the globe.

As a member of the USAPEEC executive committee, Raben will have a seat at the table for key decisions shaping U.S. poultry and egg export priorities markets that depend heavily on corn as a primary feed ingredient, making their health a direct concern for Illinois farmers.

Raben serves as ICMB District 13 director, representing Clay, Edwards, Jefferson, Lawrence, Marion, Richland, Wabash, Wayne and White counties.
