BREESE, Ill. — The Illinois Milk Producers Association and University of Illinois Extension will highlight innovative dairy technology and management practices during the annual Dairy Tech Tour on July 16.
This year’s tour is taking participants to Henrichs Dairy Farm, 19207 Ellwood Road, Breese. The Dairy Tech Tour will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Henrichs family recently installed a new 40-cow rotary milking parlor. Attendees will hear from those involved in the project to learn about the equipment used and ask any questions about the project.
On-farm tour highlights include meeting the calves, a tour through the new 40 head rotary milking parlor and a recently added freestall barn.
The tentative tour agenda is:
• 10 a.m. — Guided tours begin.
• Noon — Lunch.
• 1 p.m. — Self-guided tours.
