SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — To celebrate May Beef Month, the Illinois Beef Association is inviting people to join the May Beef Month Beef Eaters Club.
The Beef Eaters Club aims to encourage beef consumers to not only eat beef, but support their local communities and dine out during the month of May.
May has been declared National Beef Month, a celebration to kick off the unofficial summer grilling season and, of course, eat beef.
The month-long festivities promote support of the beef industry and highlight the nutritional benefits of including beef in our diets and its important role on our dinner plates.
The IBA encourages consumers to go out and pick any beef item off the menu at your favorite hometown restaurant — whether that’s a spicy beef taco, mouthwatering cheeseburger or the perfect ribeye steak — send a copy of your receipt to the IBA and join the Beef Eaters Club.
Once joining the club, people are automatically entered to win one of the many beef-centric prizes that are giving away.
Beef Eaters Club members can submit a maximum of one receipt per day in May for a total of 31 entries into the drawing.
Receipts should be mailed along with the club member’s name, phone number, email address and mailing address to the IBA office at: Illinois Beef Association, 2501 N. Eighth St., Springfield, IL 62702.
