FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Franklin Farmers Market in Johnson County was named the Indiana Ultimate Farmers Market.
With over 1,500 votes, Franklin secured first place this year after placing second in the competition last year.
The farmers market is held from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday from May through September, bringing the community together with food, live music and community spirit.
Westfield Farmers Market came in second place, and the Farmers Market at Winona Lake placed third.
“The Indiana’s Ultimate Farmers Market gives communities an opportunity to support their local farmers market by voting for their favorite,” said Caroline Patrick, Indiana Grown Program director.
“It’s more than just casting a vote — it’s a way for consumers to champion their hometown markets and help others discover Indiana-grown products.
“Farmers markets play a vital role in our local economies, and it’s inspiring to see such strong support across the state.”
