Purdue Extension reorganizes

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Extension is transforming its infrastructure, transitioning to a statewide organization with 12 regions, with county-based 4-H programs.

Twenty-three regional operations leaders will supervise Purdue Extension staff in each region.

“Regional operations leaders will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong local relationships, supporting county operations, helping connect communities to Purdue Extension programs and services, and ensuring responsiveness to local needs,” said Angela Abbott, associate dean and director of Purdue Extension.

“We are excited to share this next step in our transformation that will foster stronger connections with our community partners.”

Purdue Extension will transform to a statewide organizational structure with 12 regions with a county level 4-H presence. Extension field staff and campus-based specialists will continue to partner with communities, provide needed services and capitalize on the connection to Purdue.

Region 1: Jasper, Lake, LaPorte, Newton, Porter, Pulaski, Starke and White counties.

Region 2: Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall and St. Joseph counties.

Region 3: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.

Region 4: Cass, Carroll, Clinton, Grant, Howard, Miami and Tipton counties.

Region 5: Benton, Fountain, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.

Region 6: Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Madison and Marion counties.

Region 7: Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Henry, Jay, Randolph, Rush, Union and Wayne counties.

Region 8: Clay, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, Owen and Sullivan counties.
