INDIANAPOLIS — The newly named Corteva Coliseum was unveiled at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on April 16.
The facility features more than 150 events for more than 1 million guests each year.
The coliseum was built in 1939 and named the Livestock Pavilion. A $53 million renovation updated the space in 2012 while still preserving its history.
“We are thrilled to partner with Corteva to usher in a new era for this incredible venue,” said Cindy Hoye, executive director of the Indiana State Fair Commission.
“The Corteva Coliseum will continue to be a hub for community events and a symbol of our shared investment in the people of Indiana.”
Corteva is known for its innovation in the agricultural technology industry. The company is headquartered in Indianapolis.
Corteva also sponsors the Indiana State Fair’s Featured Farmers program, Indiana FFA, 4-H, Gleaners Food Bank and other local organizations.
“The Corteva Coliseum is an important venue for our hometown and everyone who loves the Indiana State Fair,” said Audrey Grimm, senior vice president and chief people officer at Corteva.
“We’re excited to partner with the Indiana State Fairgrounds to ensure the coliseum remains a cornerstone of our state’s celebration of agriculture.”
