LA SALLE, Ill. — For ag teachers, it is not just about the lessons they teach — it is about the relationships they build and the real-life skills they instill.
We cannot thank you enough for the important role you play in cultivating the next generation of problem-solvers, leaders, entrepreneurs and, of course, agriculturalists.
But let us try.
From getting your hands dirty in the field to tackling real-world problems, you are preparing students for the challenges ahead. Every day, you inspire youth to work hard, think critically and keep growing.
Thank you for the days, hours, late nights and long drives. Whether you have dedicated 20 years to teaching or just a few, your time was not wasted.
Each student who entered your classroom — whether they were a shop kid, a farmer’s kid or a city kid — their eyes were opened to something new.
For the third time now, AgriNews is expressing its appreciation for educators and the work they do with a special edition of our publication expressly devoted to teachers.
We wouldn’t be feeding as many people, creating better technologies, curing animal diseases, shaping policy or even marketing livestock without the influence of these humble workers.
This heartfelt “Thank You, Teachers” edition includes pages and pages of stories on ag educators, every one of which can also be found online at www.agrinews-pubs.com.
We worked hard to compile this collection of stories, as we did for previous special editions thanking not only teachers, but also first responders and veterans.
So, as we find ourselves amid National Teacher Appreciation Week, this is our way of showing our gratitude.
Thank you, teachers.
