National Farm Safety and Health Week was themed “No one can take your place.” This annual promotion by the National Safety Council has been proclaimed by each U.S. president since Franklin Roosevelt.

A new law in California will raise the minimum wage for fast-food workers to $20 per hour, an acknowledgment that most of the often overlooked workforce are the primary earners for their low-income households.
