During planting we were marginal for moisture. We would just catch some light rains. It was warm at the end of April and it would dry out quicker. So, on the top it looked like it was fit, but when I dug down, it was cool and mucky.
We had a cool May and we did not get excessive moisture at any point in time. The week before Memorial Day, we had three shots of rain come through that was a short inch of accumulation. We are dry and we need rain.
We don’t have much subsoil moisture, so we are going to need rain through the season because there is not much reserve. We could take a 2-inch rain easily.
