From the Fields: Too blessed to be stressed

For the month of July, we’ve had between three to six inches of rain, depending on the farm, which sets us up pretty good for a great crop.

The beans are in full bloom and we’re about a week away from spraying them with a fungicide. The beans were looking average about 10 days ago, but with this rain and warmth, they have really grown and look awesome now.

Corn is just starting to tassel well, and within the next seven to 10 days, we’ll apply a fungicide for leaf diseases and tar spot control and prevention. Our corn has plenty of nitrogen and it’s not stressed since we’ve been blessed with not too much extremely dry or extremely wet conditions.
