ISDA director visits dairy, animal clinic

MILROY, Ind. — Don Lamb, the director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, recently toured two ag facilities in Rush County.

On the trip he visited Jackman Animal Clinic and saw Hulsbosch Dairy Farm’s new construction project.

The team at Jackman Animal Clinic showcased their innovative haul-in facility and discussed the benefits of offering the service. Now more farmers in and around Rush County can access high-quality care for their livestock.

Guests get an inside look at Hulsbosch Dairy Farm’s new 6,500‑cow construction project in Rush County. It will feature a 120‑cow carousel milker and advanced waste management systems.

Lamb also toured Hulsbosch Dairy Farm’s state-of-the-art 6,500-cow construction project. Currently operating in Letts, Hulsbosch will begin expanding production into Milroy at their new location by the end of spring.

The new facility will feature a 120-cow carousel milker.
