BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Illinois Milk Promotion Board is seeking Illinois dairy farmers to serve on the IMPB board of directors. Candidates must be active dairy farmers from either District 2 or District 4.
Prospective dairy farmer directors for the District 2 seat must be from Adams, Brown, Bureau, Carroll, Cass, Champaign, DeWitt, Douglas, Fulton, Grundy, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Iroquois, Jo Daviess, Kankakee, Kendall, Knox, La Salle, Lee, Livingston, Logan, Logan, Macon, Marshall, Mason, McDonough, McLean, Menard, Mercer, Moultrie, Peoria, Piatt, Putnam, Rock Island, Schuyler, Stark, Tazewell, Vermilion, Warren, Whiteside or Woodford counties.
Prospective dairy farmer directors for the District 4 seat must be from Alexander, Clay, Crawford, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Lawrence, Marion, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, Saline, St. Clair, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White or Williamson counties.
The IMPB is comprised of dairy farmers and oversees the investment of the 10-cent checkoff received from Illinois farmers’ milk checks.
Totaling nearly $2 million each year, the IMPB invests check-off funds with qualified organizations which conduct research, promotion and advertising and nutrition education programs within the state of Illinois.

Completed petitions must be postmarked by July 31. The election will be conducted by ballot during the month of September.
