FRANKLIN, Ind. — Johnson County 4-H is recognizing service members this spring by featuring 4-H alumni on active duty in the U.S. military.
The first spotlight was on Kaitlyn Hicks, a 10-year 4-H member whose projects included sheep, beef cattle and crops. She was the 2019 Master Showman and in the 2020 4-H Honor Group.
Hicks serves in the Air Force as an E-5 senior loadmaster with the 437th Airlift Wing based in Charleston, South Carolina.
She was most recently deployed to the Middle East in September 2025 and has proudly served for three years.
Johnson County 4-H will continue to feature service members weekly on its Facebook page through April.
