Assistive technology expo coming Feb. 17

AgrAbility expo participants test and observe how different assistive technologies can be used.

VINCENNES, Ind. — The Indiana AgrAbility Project, in cooperation with Vincennes University and nonprofit partner Easterseals Crossroads, is sponsoring a full-day assistive technology expo on Feb. 17.

The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Vincennes University Agricultural Center, 4207 Purdue Road, Vincennes.

The event will include demonstrations and opportunities to learn about the assistive technologies that are available for farmers.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, over 200,000 farmers, ranchers and agricultural workers sustain occupational injuries each year that limit their ability to perform essential tasks.
