We got back from the Illinois State Fair Sunday night and went back down Monday and packed up the rest of our stuff and got it all home that night, Aug. 11.
We got our spraying done. We had to do a little bit of re-spray on the beans, but we got that all cleared up now. So, mostly now it’s been timing our fungicide application on our corn and beans. We were checking the fields throughout July and into early August about when to pull the trigger on what we wanted to spray.
There was some tar spot coming up in our corn, and we wanted to get on top of that before it moved up and gets too close to the ear. So far, I think, we’ve kept it down below the ear. So, we’re really happy with that, and then we got our beans all sprayed.
We’re checking those, trying to hit the right growth stage when we wanted to get them sprayed. We do that with the helicopter. So, for us, it was just telling them when we thought our fields were ready to be sprayed and when they could come up and get it done.
