From the Fields: Beat the heat

The cooler weather this past week allowed us to wean calves and introduce some new heifers to the herds. The hot, humid days that have been common this summer are not ideal to work cattle, so we were happy to get a break, even if it was short-lived.

Although the rain has come with its fair share of challenges because we have had so many days with rain, we have been able to pivot and continue forward. This might have set us back a few days or weeks, but compared to not getting any rain, we are so grateful.
