INDIANAPOLIS — The National FFA Chorus celebrated its 75th anniversary at the 96th annual National FFA Convention and Expo.
“The National FFA Chorus has evolved over the last 75 years,” said Christy Britton, National FFA Chorus director. “We built a legacy of excellence that students are attracted to and want to be a part of each year.
“What’s really kept me connected with National FFA Chorus is the students and the experiences we have on stage together — those musical moments, just lighting up the stage and really feeling that music come together.”
The choir inspires the next generation of ag leaders through their leadership on and off stage, Britton said.
A small group from the choir sang the national anthem at the Indianapolis Colts football game Oct. 29. The choir also performed several times at the National FFA Convention.
“It’s an overwhelming excitement and it’s beyond any feeling I’ve ever had,” said Kaden Pliler, Purcell FFA member.
“It’s such an honor and a big responsibility. You have to remember these special moments because they don’t last forever.”
