Topsoil moisture supply was rated 19% very short, 42% short, 38% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 20% very short, 39% short, 40% adequate, and 1% surplus.

Corn dough reached 95%, compared to 95% last year, and the five-year average of 96%. Corn dented reached 71%, compared to 76% last year, and the five-year average of 70%. Corn mature reached 19%, compared to 23% last year, and the five-year average of 17%. Corn harvested reached 1%, compared to 1% last year. Corn condition was rated 3% very poor, 8% poor, 29% fair, 49% good, and 11% excellent.

Soybeans setting pods reached 96%, compared to 97% last year, and the five-year average of 97%. Soybeans dropping leaves reached 28%, compared to 30% last year, and the five-year average of 21%. Soybeans condition was rated 3% very poor, 8% poor, 29% fair, 49% good, and 11% excellent.
