There were 5.6 days suitable for fieldwork in the week ending July 13, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 4% very short, 31% short, 60% adequate, and 5% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 6% very short, 28% short, 61% adequate, and 5% surplus.

Corn silking reached 46%, compared to 59% last year, and the five-year average of 49%. Corn dough reached 6%, compared to 7% last year, and the five-year average of 4%. Corn condition was rated 3% very poor, 6% poor, 23% fair, 54% good, and 14% excellent.

Soybeans blooming reached 53%, compared to 63% last year, and the five-year average of 48%. Soybeans setting pods reached 12%, compared to 25% last year, and the five-year average of 13%. Soybeans condition was rated 3% very poor, 7% poor, 30% fair, 47% good, and 13% excellent.

Winter wheat harvested reached 93%, compared to 96% last year, and the five-year average of 93%.
