There were 5.9 days suitable for fieldwork in the week ending June 29, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 3% very short, 23% short, 68% adequate, and 6% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5% very short, 28% short, 60% adequate, and 7% surplus.

Corn silking reached 9%, compared to 15% last year, and the five-year average of 5%. Corn condition was rated 3% very poor, 5% poor, 21% fair, 55% good, and 16% excellent.

Soybeans emerged reached 94%, compared to 94% last year, and the five-year average of 96%. Soybeans blooming reached 21%, compared to 22% last year, and the five-year average of 13%. Soybeans condition was rated 5% very poor, 8% poor, 33% fair, 43% good, and 11% excellent.

Winter wheat harvested reached 69%, compared to 87% last year, and the five-year average of 73%. Winter wheat condition was rated 10% very poor, 6% poor, 17% fair, 53% good, and 14% excellent.
