There were 4.4 days suitable for fieldwork in the week ending June 15, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 3% very short, 11% short, 64% adequate, and 22% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5% very short, 15% short, 62% adequate, and 18% surplus.

Corn emerged reached 89%, compared to 91% last year, and the five-year average of 94%. Corn condition was rated 2% very poor, 6% poor, 25% fair, 58% good, and 9% excellent.

Soybeans planted reached 93%, compared to 94% last year, and the five-year average of 96%. Soybeans emerged reached 85%, compared to 86% last year, and the five-year average of 88%. Soybeans condition was rated 3% very poor, 5% poor, 26% fair, 57% good, and 9% excellent.

Winter wheat headed reached 94%, compared to 99% last year, and the five-year average of 98%. Winter wheat condition was rated 2% very poor, 4% poor, 25% fair, 57% good, and 12% excellent.
