Topsoil moisture supply was rated 6% very short, 22% short, 60% adequate, and 12% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5% very short, 23% short, 60% adequate, and 12% surplus.

Corn planted reached 93%, compared to 88% last year, and the five-year average of 93%. Corn emerged reached 80%, compared to 76% last year, and the five-year average of 82%. Corn condition was rated 2% very poor, 5% poor, 30% fair, 51% good, and 12% excellent.

Soybeans planted reached 86%, compared to 80% last year, and the five-year average of 84%. Soybeans emerged reached 71%, compared to 56% last year, and the five-year average of 66%. Soybeans condition was rated 2% very poor, 5% poor, 34% fair, 48% good, and 11% excellent.

Winter wheat headed reached 94%, compared to 96% last year, and the five-year average of 93%. Winter wheat condition was rated 4% very poor, 6% poor, 33% fair, 47% good, and 10% excellent.
