Israeli ag-biotech firm sets up North American HQ in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — Israeli ag-biotech company IBI Ag is establishing its North American headquarters in Indiana, marking the first deal under the new $60 million Iron Nation-Indiana initiative.

The company uses AI-driven protein engineering to develop targeted bioinsecticides.

IBI Ag will use its Indiana base to oversee U.S. field trials, regulatory approvals and eventual commercial rollout.

IBI Ag already has ties to the state through a partnership with Indianapolis-based Corteva Agriscience and has already hired an Indiana-based executive to join its leadership team.

“IBI Ag’s decision to establish its North American headquarters in Indiana is a testament to our state’s dominance in the agricultural sector and our intentional and persistent pursuit of innovation,” said Gov. Mike Braun.

“This is an important first result of our partnership with Iron Nation as we work to connect Indiana’s world-class industries and research institutions with some of Israel’s most promising technology companies.”

It’s the first company to establish Indiana operations through Iron Nation-Indiana, a $60 million investment and business-development initiative designed to help Israeli technology companies enter the U.S. market through Indiana.
