BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Illinois Soybean Association is seeking candidates to fill an at-large director seat that recently became vacant.
Eligibility to serve requires candidates to be Illinois residents of legal voting age who share in the ownership and risk of growing and marketing soybeans.
Individuals will be nominated by the majority of Illinois Soybean Board directors sitting in a quorum at the meeting to be determined. Nominated individuals will be elected by a majority of soybean producers in attendance at the ISB public meeting in Champaign on July 29.
ISB directors serve a term of three years and are eligible for up to three consecutive terms.
Any interested producer must notify the board of their desire to be a candidate for an at-large position by contacting Dustin Scott, director of operations, at 309-846-3673 or dustin.scott@ilsoy.org.
Once intent is expressed, candidates will be emailed a link to an online application. Online applications must be completed and submitted electronically no later than July 17.
There is no write-in provision for at-large director elections.
