INDIANAPOLIS — Corteva Inc. selected Indianapolis as the global headquarters for its new crop protection company, choosing Indiana over multiple competing states.
Corteva announced last year it would split into two public companies, with the crop protection business retaining the Corteva name. It will continue to be a Fortune 500 company.
Did you know? Indiana’s agbioscience sector contributes more than $82 billion to the state’s economy.
Corteva’s current seed and genetics business will be rebranded as Vylor by the fourth quarter of 2026.
The future independent company will be headquartered in Johnston in south-central Iowa, the home of Pioneer, its flagship seed brand.
Here’s what Indiana leaders had to say about the announcement:
“Indianapolis continues to prove we are a city where innovative companies can grow and lead. Corteva’s continued investment builds on that momentum and reflects the strength of the city’s partnership with the company, our deep talent base and our growing agriculture and innovation ecosystem. We are proud Corteva calls Indianapolis home and proud of what this announcement represents for our city’s future.”
