INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Barn Foundation has created an endowment in honor of Mauri Williamson, an agricultural preservationist who dedicated his life to farming and educating others about Indiana’s ag roots.
From now through Sept. 13, donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000.
The donations will support Indiana Barn Foundation’s mission to raise awareness about historic barns and to support barn owners.

“June 21 would have been Mauri’s 100th birthday,” said Kent Yeager, president of Indiana Barn Foundation.
“Mauri inspired so many people in life and continues to inspire many of us now, especially in preserving ag and rural history. For whatever progress the Indiana Barn Foundation has made toward our mission, to support the preservation of historic Indiana barns, I credit Mauri for being the catalyst that made the organization happen.
“I have often said that without Mauri’s inspiration, several of us would probably be watching Indiana’s historic barns disappear and saying somebody should do something.”
