Fast Five: National FFA eastern region vice president

INDIANAPOLIS — Although the 93rd National FFA Convention did not take place in the traditional sense, thousands of FFA members were still able to attend the event virtually.

During the convention, the 2020-2021 National FFA officers were elected, which included Miriam Hoffman of Earlville, Illinois, who was chosen to be the 2020-2021 National FFA eastern region vice president.

Hoffman took time from her busy schedule to share five interesting facts about herself.

1. Her favorite Leadership Development Event is creed speaking.

2. During high school she played bass in a rock band.

3. She was homeschooled through junior high.

4. Hoffman said two of her favorite conservation topics are cows and cover crops.

5. Her home FFA chapter, the Earlville FFA, was rechartered one year before she attended high school.
