Where did you grow up? For me, it was a small town. It used to be on the outskirts of Indianapolis, but the city slowly ate it up.
I can tell you every corner of that place. The gas station. The general store. The feed and seed.
There are a few new places now, and definitely new people, but it still has the same spirit.
There’s a giant cow statue that the town drags out for festivals and Christmas.
There’s a fish fry on Fridays and American flags on every corner.
I still miss it, even though I love where I’m at — this stage in life.
It seems like small towns are fewer and further in between now. But I love living in a state with little map dots like my hometown.
