Agronomy e-learning academy accepting registrations for fall program

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Registration for Purdue University’s Agronomy E-learning Academy is currently accepting registration for its fall courses.

Bruce Erickson, who serves as director of the Agronomy E-learning Academy, said the online academy offers professional courses that are open to anyone who is interested in learning about agronomy and the agriculture industry.

Erickson said registration for the classes, which start on Sept. 16 and are conducted over a 12-week time period, are currently open.

Since the online academy started in 2015, Erickson said that the main goal of the courses that are offered is to help individuals learn the basic knowledge of agronomy, including nutrient management and crop production.

Erickson said the course is ideal for farmers and individuals who want to know more about agronomic practices so they can make more informed decisions for their farming operations and customers.
