Carroll County 4-H Club holds clean-up contest

Mt. CARROLL, Ill. – Congratulations to Jameson Pannkuk from the Clever Clovers 4-H Club in Lanark for being the winner of the "Summer Fun" basket. Pannkuk's name was drawn for the  "Spring Garbage Pick-Up" project. Clever Clovers and Clever Cloverbuds picked up over 50 bags of garbage throughout the community over the last couple of months. Food Preservation Webinar Series, 1 p.m. June 10, June 17, June 25, July 1, July 8, July 15 and July 22. Rest easy knowing you have weeks of food available for your family in your home pantry. Learn safe and easy ways to preserve foods through a series of free, online workshops by University of Illinois Extension. Extension educators will show the latest techniques for canning, freezing, dehydrating, and fermenting a variety of foods safely at home. Each training begins at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, through July 22. Everyday Environment Webinar Series, 1 p.m. June 11, June 18 and June 25. Join us for weekly sessions on environmental topics presented by University of Illinois Extension's Energy & Environmental Stewardship Team.
