Shrimp farm celebrates spring harvest

INDIANAPOLIS — Atarraya, a sustainable aquaculture start-up based in Indianapolis and Mexico City, celebrated its spring harvest May 23 in Indianapolis.

Atarraya uses Shrimpbox — the world’s first plug-and-play shrimp farm, which is housed in specialized cargo containers.

The shrimp farms are designed to decrease the environmental impact and cost of shrimp farming, while allowing for the production of fresh, sustainable and local shrimp everywhere in the world — even in landlocked places like Indiana.

Atarraya is selling shrimp locally to restaurants and consumers online. Learn more at www.atarraya.ai.
