Indiana Dairy Producers Forum Feb. 7-8

FRENCH LICK, Ind. — The Indiana Dairy Producers Forum will be held Feb. 7-8 in French Lick. Registration is now open.

New to the biannual event is a pre-conference Innovation Showcase.

“Technology is important to help dairy producers improve our efficiency, as well as our environmental footprint, and our pre-conference technology session will showcase exciting new advancements,” said Steve Obert, IDP executive director.

Technologies include:

• Hydro-Green will showcase its greenhouse automated vertical forage system, which significantly reduces water use and reduces methane emission by 24%.

• SmaXtec will discuss its health and activity product. This technology uses a bolus to collect rumination, activity and internal temperature data to enhance cow management.

• Pulse NeedleFree systems will highlight its needle-free injection system.

• Ves/Artex will showcase its cooling system that senses the presence of a cow. If no cows are present, no water will spray, with water savings estimated to be near 80%.

Farmers can learn a variety of topics ranging from production tips to family communication advice.

The event includes networking opportunities and educational sessions. At the trade show, attendees can interact with industry vendors.
