Gleaners launches ‘No One Runs on Empty’ campaign

INDIANAPOLIS — Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana launched its third annual “No One Runs on Empty” campaign to raise awareness of food insecurity in May and June.

This year’s campaign is “Winners Give Milk.” The goal is to gather enough donations for Gleaners to donate 1 million milk gallons in 2022.

For May, the goal is to fund 16,500 gallons of milk, equal to 500 gallons per driver in the Indianapolis 500.

Dairy products contain essential nutrients that can promote health, help manage weight and reduce risk for high blood pressure, osteoporosis and certain cancers.

Gleaners had a driver, Romain Grosjean, in the Grand Prix on May 14 through Andretti Racing.

The 2022 Indy 500 will take place on May 29.
