Five days of fun activities at the Sandwich Fair

SANDWICH, Ill. — Jordan Davis will perform on the main stage at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 during the Sandwich Fair.

Davis was named Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2018 and was awarded Best New Country Artist at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards. He has over 4 billion streams worldwide.

The opening acts for the concert will be Flatland Cavalry and Danielle Bradbery.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. July 11. Ticket prices are $45 for the pit area and $35 for the festival area.

Covering 185 acres, the fair features lots of entertainment that is included with admission, ranging from strolling acts for all ages to a variety of bands at the Agland Stage and the Home Arts Stage.

On the first day of the fair, harness racing will start at 11 a.m. and there also will be remote-control car racing at the track.

Motor sports activities are set for Thursday night, Saturday and Sunday. The NTPA Truck Pulls will start at 6:30 p.m. at the track. Two shows of NTPA Tractor Pulls will be held on Saturday at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Two shows for the demolition derby on the last day of the fair are planned for 1 and 3:30 p.m. The antique car show will fill a section of the track infield on Sunday.

Some of the classic buildings at the fair date back to the 1800s. Much of fair history will be on display in the History Museum where visitors can learn more about the Sandwich Fair heritage.
