Hoosier Beef Congress postponed

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Beef Cattle Association received word Nov. 20 that the Hoosier Beef Congress would not be able to be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Dec. 4-6 as previously planned.

“We were informed Friday afternoon that the health and safety plan could not be approved in light of the spike of COVID-19 cases,” said Joe Moore, executive vice president for the Indiana Beef Cattle Association and Indiana Beef Council.

Moore said that the IBCA is looking at other options and ways to still hold the show, but for the time-being it has been postponed.

“More information on the future of the Hoosier Beef Congress will be coming in the very near future,” he said.

“I’m sure almost everyone has a sense of frustration and disappointment about many things this year,” he said.

Moore stressed all Hoosier Beef Congress exhibitors should know that everything possible is being done to ensure that postponing the show is only a delay.

“We hope to see everyone in the show ring soon,” he said.
