This will be our last article for this year, and since things are pretty well wrapped up on most of our farms, I thought I would make this one a little more personal. It has certainly been a very busy and unusual farming season, to say the least.
It has also been a busy time for us as a family. Between Derrike getting married, and now we have our first granddaughter on the way, to starting Tanglewood weddings and events, which is our new business venture, life is even busier than ever. I thought life slowed down as you got older, but for most of us, that never happens, does it?
I am so grateful that we live in a country and are involved in an industry that holds the past close to our hearts, but still looks forward to the future and always do our part to be a positive role model for the next generation. Just want to thank AgriNews for the opportunity to share with you all again this year, and I look forward to seeing you all at different events over the winter.
Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas. Here is something to think about at your holiday dinners: “It isn’t so much what’s on the table that matters, as what’s on the chairs.”
