LIBERTY, Ind. (AP) — Eastern Indiana police said an 11-year-old girl died when the pickup truck she was riding in struck a house.
Union County Sheriff Dale Dishmond said the girl was pronounced dead at the scene following the Jan. 5 crash near the county seat of Liberty. Her name was not released.
The Richmond Palladium-Item reported that a 3-year-old boy who was also a passenger was treated at a local hospital.
Police said the Brookville man who was driving the pickup truck lost control of the vehicle before it traveled over an embankment and crashed into a house about 65 miles east of Indianapolis
The man was ejected from the vehicle through a bedroom window of the house. He was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati.
