A national 4-H campaign allows local residents to support the Illinois 4-H program by making a donation at any JOANN store. The Clovers for Kids campaign allows patrons to give either $1 or $4 toward 4-H programming in the area. Customers who choose a $4 gift receive a $4 discount coupon on their next purchase.
“4-H youth in Kankakee County participate in hands-on programs where they design, create, and build as they learn,” said Debra Koch, University of Illinois Extension 4-H Program coordinator. “These experiences create a love for lifelong learning by strengthening their creativity and imaginative thinking which improves motor skills, coordination, and self-esteem.”
The Clovers for Kids campaign kicked off in 865 JOANN stores nationwide March 1 and will extend through April 30.
4-H reaches over 300 youth and over 100 volunteers in Kankakee County. To enroll a child in 4-H, one may contact Debra Koch at 815-933-8337 or email@example.com.
