LAPORTE, Ind. — Indiana’s oldest county fair will be held July 7-13 in northern Indiana.
The 174th annual LaPorte County Fair will feature music, entertainment, food and fun. The carnival midway opens Tuesday, July 9.
Travel back in time to Pioneer Land, where you’ll find a log cabin, blacksmith shop, post office, general store and many other outposts. The village depicts the 1800-1840s period and is operated by volunteers.
As always, agriculture will be in the spotlight with 4-H projects on display, antique tractor parades and more.
The 2019 LaPorte County Fair Queen and Princess Pageant will be held on Saturday, July 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the entertainment tent in Pioneer Land.
The truck and tractor pull will be July 9 at 7 p.m. The demolition derby will put on shows July 7, 8 and 12 at 7 p.m. The rodeo is coming to town July 10 at 7 p.m.
Country star Chris Lane with special guests Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett will be in concert July 11 at 7 p.m. Hunter Hayes with guest singer Michael Ray will star in a concert on July 13 at 7 p.m.
Rapper Vanilla Ice will headline Boy Band Night on July 14 at 6 p.m.
