INDIANAPOLIS — To help farmers understand the new farm bill, three regional meetings — one in northern Indiana, one in central Indiana and one in southern Indiana — will be held March 27 and 28.

Sponsored by Indiana Farm Bureau, the meetings will provide members and other agricultural stakeholders with updates on the Agricultural Act of 2014 — more informally known as the farm bill — with special focus on the commodity, livestock, and crop insurance programs.

John Anderson, deputy chief economist at the American Farm Bureau Federation, and Matt Erickson, economist at the federation, will speak.

Anyone is welcome to attend, but because space is limited, registration is required. Online registration is available at www.infb.org/farmbillmeetings. Registration will close at 4:30 p.m. March 26.
