    We have a few more acres of beans to go. We should be done within the next week. Everything we have planted looks fairly well. We will have to touch up some corn where the water stood too long. But there isn’t too much of that. I have been mowing hay and hope to get a good start on this first cutting. That’s about two weeks ahead of normal. So far, this summer it looks like everything is going to be about two weeks ahead of normal. I think the wheat crop will be the same, as well. Most places are in pretty good shape. And it looks, to me, that the grain market is reflecting that sentiment. My corn is very heavily sold. About 75 percent. The beans, I’m only about half. Time will tell. So far, we’ve been able to be a little pickier with our field conditions and try to not rush anything because of the timing of the season. When you’re not rushed, you do a better a job, and that makes life more enjoyable, too. Last year was almost nonstop. I hope everyone had a good Mother’s Day.
