High-capacity combine designed to increase efficiency

DULUTH, Ga. — The Fendt IDEAL 10 and 10T combines are designed to harvest more and to harvest more efficiently.

“The IDEAL combine has a 790 maximum horsepower engine that is the largest in the industry,” said Zach Stejskal, Fendt product specialist, grain harvesting. “The combine is powered by a MAN 16.2 liter engine.”

“The Fendt IDEAL combine is a high-capacity combine that features automated harvesting technology and allows growers to cover more acres without sacrificing grain quality,” said Eric Hansotia, COO for AGCO Global.

“When IDEAL was first introduced two years ago, it was launched with one goal in mind to increase harvesting productivity for growers,” said Kevin Forth, Fendt tactical marketing manager, harvesting.

“This is increasingly important as our customers face all kinds of variables that impact their ability to grow profitability such as erratic weather patterns, decreased commodity prices, increased input costs and labor shortages.”

The dual helix rotors are nearly 16 feet long.

“They are the longest rotors in the industry that provide more threshing and separation area,” Forth said.

“The 48.8 square feet of total separation area gives the combine the ability to handle more crop without sacrificing quality or loss,” Stejskal said.

“The cleaning capacity has also improved with the IDEAL Balance that features WavePans that evenly distribute material over the cleaning shoe without adding complex active systems,” Stejskal said. “The new pans are mounted in the stratification area which allows for a higher air volume to be applied to help improve the cleaning performance.”

IDEAL combines are equipped with a 485-bushel grain tank.

“They feature the Streamer 6.0 unloading system that has a six bushel per second unload rate,” Forth said. “When compared to the average combine, that saves over 16 hours of unload time per season on a 3,000-acre farm.”

“IDEALdrive is the industry’s only joystick operated steering platform,” Stejskal said. “This option provides unobstructed forward visibility and also reduces operator effort for better user experience.”

The IDEALharvest system, Stejskal said, provides automatic adjustments by the combine to improve harvesting efficiencies based on operator preferences.

“The optional track ride system in either 30- or 36-inch-wide track configurations result in reduced compaction, better floatation and the ability to get in the field in adverse conditions,” Stejskal said.

Fendt IDEAL combines are covered by the Gold Star program.

“That includes a three-year or 1,200-hour machine warranty, plus all the scheduled maintenance and a loaner guarantee,” Forth said.

The pre-sale program for the new IDEAL combines is now open and the first deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
